Oceanography Textbooks
What happened to america?
In the past and in the present, perhaps through the future, we Filipinos have been using textbooks authored by the americans, whether it be in the field of engineering,Hydraulics, medicine, accounting, geography, oceanography, etc… you name it, its all here.
I was wondering, why on earth the LEHMAN BROTHERS went bankrupt? what happened to America’s economy and the other economies of the world’s most advanced countries? Do you think this is human error or GOD’s punishment?
It’s simple, God said you can have money or me.
America chose money, (the love of money), and the result is greed, leading to a need for power and with it corruption, leading to eventual dissatisfaction and boredom, leading to perversion and pornography .
He also warned about usury, the practice of charging interest (real money) on created money (money made out of thin air). That leads to the situation we have now, a bankrupt country, adding 3 billion dollars a day, to our 11 trillion dollars we owe already, with a staggering interest we will never be able to pay. A trillion dollars has 16 zeros after it.
This is the biggie, we are the modern Romans in every way, a pity we hadn’t learned their lesson, and the lessons of every other famous civilisation who placed the love of money and all that goes with it before God.
There will be no recovery, it is financially impossible, there is no credit left.

Oceanography and Marine Biology: An Introduction to Marine Science
$62.98 Oceanography and Marine Biology preserves the basic elements of the physical, chemical, and geological aspects of the marine sciences, and merges those fundamentals into a broader framework of marine biology and ecology. This approach works. But existing textbooks on oceanography or marine biology address the companion field only cursorily: very few pages in oceanography texts are devoted to marine biology, and vice versa. This new book overcomes that imbalance, bringing these disparate marine science text formats closer together, giving them more equal weight, and introducing more effectively the physical sciences by showing students with everyday examples how such concepts form the foundation upon which to build a better understanding of the marine environment in a changing world. |

Beyond Textbooks
$32 Technology is a key driver of educational innovation, and a variety of programmes focusing on investment in infrastructure, equipment, in-service training and digital learning resources have been established to promote its usage in primary and secondary schools. So far, little comparative analytical attention has been devoted to understanding how digital resources improve the quality of learning and to assessing the public policies that support their development and use, and the role played by other stakeholders like publishers, broadcasting companies and increasingly user communities. This publication aims to fill that gap by both reviewing and evaluating the process of systemic innovation. Drawing on case studies from five Nordic countries, the report assembles information on the knowledge bases and policy actors which impact each phase of this innovation process and the main factors which influence its success including governance, financing and user involvement. |
